Our client, an independent, active global asset manager, is seeking an Estate Late Administrator to join their team in Cape Town.

The Estate Late Team is responsible for the administration of death claims on investment products, as well as the servicing of relevant stakeholders (advisors, executors, beneficiaries, etc.) on related queries.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer estate late cases in line with current legislation (including administration of Deceased Estates Act, Pension Fund Act, Long Term Insurance Act, and Income Tax Act)

  • Ensure all relevant business rules and compliance processes are adhered to

  • Client Servicing: assist and resolve all queries received via telephone or email from executors, beneficiaries, independent financial advisors, and other relevant stakeholders internally and externally

  • Manage flow of work items (queries, requests, and instructions)

  • Follow up with the executors, brokers, and beneficiaries for outstanding documents

  • Maintain agreed SLA on all administrative tasks

  • Provide clear, accurate and concise instructions for processing 

  • Attend scheduled training sessions and proactively request training when unsure of a certain product, process, or system information

  • Be professional and courteous with regards to all job functions with service excellence always being promoted

  • Promote teamwork and respect within the team at all times

  • Develop, maintain, and promote mutual harmonious relationships with both AL, Sales teams, and broker assistants

  • Develop, maintain, and promote a strong relationship with relevant Team Manager and Upper Management

  • Contribute to the ongoing development of processes and materials used by the Estate Late team


Requirements:

  • Relevant 2 - 3 years experience, preferably with death claims

  • Relevant degree/diploma (advantage)

  • Financial Services experience specifically Asset Management, Retirement Funds and Unit Trust Offshore experience – advantage

  • Client Service Experience - advantage

  • Computer literate - Microsoft packages, Excel (intermediate), Word and Outlook

  • Knowledge of platform workflow systems

  • Knowledge of the platform product rules and processes

  • The ability to build and maintain meaningful relationships

  • The ability to ‘approach and own’ and continuously look for opportunities to develop
