Our client, a high-quality asset management company, is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Senior Investment Analyst to join their dynamic investment team.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the investment process by conducting in-depth research and analysis across local and offshore markets.
This role requires a strong understanding of macroeconomics, a passion for sector-specific research, and excellent communication skills to effectively explain investment concepts to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct in-depth fundamental research and analysis:
Analyse macroeconomic trends, including economic growth, inflation, interest rates, and currency movements.
Conduct thorough research on various sectors and companies, including industry trends, competitive landscapes, and valuation metrics.
Develop and maintain financial models to forecast company performance and assess investment risks and returns.
Monitor market trends, identify investment opportunities, and generate investment ideas.
Prepare investment reports and presentations:
Prepare concise and insightful investment reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, including clients, portfolio managers, and senior management.
Clearly and effectively communicate complex investment concepts to clients in a professional and engaging manner.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and proactive engagement.
Portfolio monitoring and analysis:
Monitor portfolio performance and identify potential risks and opportunities.
Conduct ongoing research and analysis to support portfolio rebalancing decisions.
Assist in the preparation of performance reports and presentations for clients.
Stay abreast of market developments:
Continuously monitor global and local market news and events.
Attend industry conferences and seminars to stay informed about market trends and best practices.
Maintain a strong understanding of financial markets, including equities, fixed income, and derivatives
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, or a related field.
CFA or other relevant professional qualifications a plus.
4+ years of relevant experience as an Investment Analyst or in a similar role.
Strong understanding of macroeconomics, financial markets, and investment principles.
Proven ability to conduct in-depth research and analysis on companies and sectors.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial data platforms such as Bloomberg.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and client relationship management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
