Our client, a dynamic and innovative company at the forefront of fashion care technology and who are dedicated to providing sustainable care solutions for fashion enthusiasts worldwide, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team.
The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in the financial operations of the company, reporting directly to the Finance Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and oversee all Cashbook Journal entries.
Manage all day-to-day financial requirements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Support the Finance Director in monitoring daily cash balances and determining cash requirements.
Assist in budgeting, processing, and the preparation of financial statements.
Handle bank administration, including new account setups and managing user lists.
Load ad hoc payments, intercompany transfers, and wages & salary transfers.
Manage staff reimbursements, petty cash, and company credit cards.
Oversee the accounts of multiple entities, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
Process General Ledger (GL) activities and journals (e.g., company credit cards, staff reimbursements).
Maintain fixed assets and perform forex revaluation.
Prepare SARS VAT201 and EMP501 submissions.
Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
Manage intercompany reconciliations and month-end journal preparations.
Assist in preparing annual financial statements and processing foreign payments.
Provide support during audits, including responding to requests and facilitating the audit process.
Mentor junior accountants, fostering their professional development.
Prepare monthly management accounts for various companies.
Qualifications and Requirements:
3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
Fully computer literate, with proficiency in accounting software and tools
Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Team player with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Self-motivated and enthusiastic, with a proactive approach to challenges.
Capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
